Jared King, 18 Years Experience
Jared first began working at Arizona Pipeline as a laborer at 21 years old. From the time he was young, he was intrigued with heavy equipment. Largely due to spending time on his dad’s job as a driller/blaster, and being able to operate a haul truck at only 15 years old. His career started doing finish carpentry and various forms of construction. After getting some work experience, he applied at APL. In his first year with APL, he got his fitter’s card, his CDL and became a Foreman. At that time, he was the youngest Foreman. He felt the need to prove himself. So he wanted to do more than service replacement projects. He wanted to move up to Mainline since he enjoyed operating the backhoe. Since then some of his achievements include learning to operate heavy equipment, getting his engineering contractor’s license, and running his own business for a short time, during which he also worked as a sub operating for APL. Jared was eager to help the company expand anyway he could, and made himself (and his family) available to relocate. As a Superintendent he went to Las Vegas, back to California, up to Northern Nevada, back to California, and now is currently Division Manager in Las Vegas.
When he is not occupying his brain with work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys rock climbing, snow skiing, water skiing, hiking and trying to improve his golf game.
